Since 1835, Appleton has been producing fine quality tapestry and crewel wool. They select the finest English wools and have them spun in the UK. There are 400+ shades available in both tapestry and crewel weight. Appleton wool is non-strandable. Crewel weight has 2 plies and is recommended for 18M, while Tapestry weight has 4 plies and is recommended for 13Mm or 14M.
