Mid Century Vintage Crazy Quilt - Dated 1950 and 1962

This crazy quilt has two dates on it: 1950 and 1962 - perhaps the start and finish dates. It features a wide variety of fabrics from the 1940s-60s including satin, silk, wool, rayon, polyester, and cotton. It is backed in a pink rayon fabric. It was machine sewn with hand embroidered details. It has a couple shattered patches, one patch with a few small holes in the top only, one patch that had shattered and was repaired with embroidery, a few small spots, and some fading on the back. It is a lightweight quilt - some areas have an inner layer of cotton muslin, but many patches have no inner lining. This quilt has not be washed.

• All quilts are vintage ranging from 45 to 95 years old. They have been well-loved and will show wear from use which may include: loose/open seams, shattered patches, small holes or tears, fading, spots.
• We try to point out any major wear, but every instance of normal wear will probably not be pictured. Instead we try to give a good description of overall condition so you know what to expect.
• All of our quilts, unless noted, have been hand washed with mild detergent and laid out to dry. They are washed to refresh them, not with the goal of spot or stain lightening/removal. You may be able to lighten stains with additional treatment, but it's unlikely that you will be able to completely remove stains of this age.
• All measurements should be viewed as approximate with a margin of error of 1 inch.
• Standard US mattress dimensions are as follows. Use this as a reference to understand how a piece might fit on your bed: Twin - 39 x 75, Full - 54 x 75, Queen - 60 x80, King - 76 x 80.
