Morgan Julia Designs Clover Club Cocktail Needlepoint Canvas - Exclusive

This hand painted needlepoint canvas from Morgan Julia Designs is an exclusive to Rittenhouse Needlepoint. The Clover Club Cocktail was created in the late 1800s here in Philly for a famous men's club by that name which met in the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel. By the 1930s, bar tending books were suggesting the cocktail be served at sewing clubs and crazy quilt parties. More recently, it has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity. There's even a great bar/restaurant in Brooklyn named for it.

What is in a Clover Club Cocktail? It is essentially a gin fizz with raspberry. The recipe has changed very little over its long history, but we prefer the version balanced with dry vermouth. It makes a lovely tart and sweet pink cocktail with a frothy finish, usually garnished with fresh raspberries.
