From the 1930s-40s, this vintage quilt features the Dresden Plate pattern with a lovely scalloped, ice cream cone border. It is made of flour sack cloth and other cottons. There are lots of florals and geometric prints, and also few great novelty prints. A couple of my favs are one with a pig jumping through a hoop, and another with a cop chasing a clown. It is a lightweight quilt with an inner layer of cotton batting. It was largely hand sewn and all hand quilted, but the seams between the blocks were machine sewn. It has about a dozen patches that are shattering with most being along the ice cream cone border, but no open seams or through holes. It also has a few small spots.
