From the 1940s, this vintage quilt top features a diagonal stripe block pattern. It features a lovely variety of flour sack cloth and other cottons along with a few scattered pieces of linen. It's a bit clumsily done, but in a charming way - mostly hand sewn but with a few random machine sewn seams, some puckering at seams, and not a lot of uniformity in the blocks. The blue fabric that frames the blocks has been torn off of two sides. This guy deserves some TLC to be finished as a quilt or something else entirely. It has a few small spots, and two small holes less than 1/4" in the blue fabric. No loose seams, but some hanging threads here and there.
